WELCOME to the Crowsnest Pass. The five communities of Bellevue, Hillcrest, Frank, Blairmore
and Coleman were amalgamated into one municipality in 1979. I know that you’ll
enjoy the benefits of the Crowsnest Pass as much as we do. Outdoor enthusiasts will find an
abundance of recreational possibilities from camping, mountain biking,
hiking, world class fishing, hunting, boating, wind surfing, golf and tennis
in the summer to cross country skiing, downhill skiing, snowmobiling, ice
fishing, snowshoeing, curling, skating and hockey in the winter, Look for

form the residential and business sector is unspoiled wilderness. Wildlife abounds including Grizzly and
Black Bears, Moose, Stellar Jays, Eagles, Hawks and Mountain Blue Birds.
Most of the wilderness is located in the Bow-Crow Forest. This crown land is
supervised by the Alberta Forest Service and has many camp and picnic sites
and trails. There is a charge for campsite use and fire regulations are
strictly enforced. Access is by good gravel roads.
Culture,
music and the arts are thriving in the Crowsnest Pass. The annual Spring Music Festival dates
back to 1926. With over 300 entrants, the week long festival concludes with
a concert featuring the top performers. The Crowsnest Pass Symphony Orchestra
was organized in the 1920’s and was on of the first amateur symphony orchestras
in Canada. The Orchestra performs
concerts 3 – 4 times a year.
